At 10:38 a.m. on June 18, 2021, a grand groundbreaking ceremony was held at the Magang New District for the Maanshan Iron & Steel Coking Plant’s Coke Oven Relocation, Overhaul and Upgrade Project, which is jointly executed as an EPC contract by Huatai Yongchuang and the Anhui Branch of Baosteel Engineering Technology Group. The ceremony was presided over by Fu Ming, Deputy General Manager of Maanshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. while Ding Yi, Party Secretary and Chairman of Maanshan Iron & Steel Group, declared the official commencement of the project. Dong Xinghong, Deputy General Manager of Huatai, attended the ceremony and was invited to deliver a speech.
As one of Maanshan Iron & Steel’s key infrastructure and technological renovation projects under the 14th Five-Year Plan, this project is a crucial component of the company’s comprehensive improvement initiative in the North District. It also marks another deep collaboration between Huatai and Maanshan Iron & Steel, in addition to their ongoing cooperation on the CDQ project in the South District, which fully demonstrates Maanshan Iron & Steel’s high recognition of Huatai.
