At 10:18 a.m. on July 25, 2021, the official hoisting work began for the coke dry quenching project supporting the 1.8 mtpa coking facility at Shanxi Xinshi Energy Technology Co., Ltd., for which Huatai serves as the EPC general contractor. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by representatives from Xinshi Energy including General Manager Zheng Shihua, Wang Daisheng, Deputy General Manager in charge of Technology and Workshop Director Dong Junliang, leaders from the supervising company, as well as representatives from Huatai’s project team and the construction company.
With a capacity of 250 t/h, this CDQ project is the first in China to integrate with an ultra-high-temperature, ultra-high-pressure boiler waste heat power generation system. In preparation for the Beijing Winter Olympics on February 4, 2022, the local environmental protection bureau has mandated that the Xinshi Energy CDQ project must be operational before the Games to meet local environmental requirements, which undoubtedly imposes even higher demands on the project’s overall schedule. In addition to that, the construction area for this project is extremely limited, imposing significant constraints on the delivery and storage of equipment and materials, crane positioning, and the erection of ground-level work platforms. Thanks to the strong support from company leadership and the proactive coordination of the project team, construction activities are now proceeding in an orderly manner. The project team will transform pressure into motivation, prioritize compliance with the construction schedule, “uphold safety and revere quality,” and strive to create a high-quality project through concrete actions!
